NEW YORK — The NYPD is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect who stole jewelry and cash from a church in Queens.
Police have released surveillance photos showing the suspect entering Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Astoria around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say he removed jewelry and an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hot line at 800 577-TIPS.
